Doc - are there supposed to be two holes there?

·134 words·1 min

So the 25 year old man who came in today was wondering about his anatomy.  Two kinds of stuff come out (he's a father of two) .. and so it just made sense that we all have two holes.

One for pee and the other for ... "you-know, Doc"

"They're very close together"

And so I take a look and sure enough - there are two holes. The more dorsal opening is actually a dead-end, and the more ventral is the urethra.  They are both within the meatus - so it is only with very close inspection that this cen be recognized.  I bet he didn't find this himself!

Off he goes to the urologist.  I figure that this is either a distal urethral web, or (more likely) he has a very mild hypospadias.
